The long-awaited skateboard park was officially opened to the public on September 12th, 2008. The park was built by Spectrum Skatepark Creations, Ltd. in seven and a half weeks; July 16th, 2008 – September 11th, 2008, after six long years of fundraising and grant proposal writing. The skateboard park is well used by adults, youth and children.

 

The park itself is state-of-the-art and good for everyone from raw beginners to seasoned professionals. The bowls are not only a spectacular work of art, they are also as smooth as glass because of the quality of the cement finishing work.
